چکیده

Contrary to some Vhavenḓa poets who recognise Ṅwali and/or Raluvhimba as Jehovah, this article argues that and Jehovah are two distinct deities. It further asserts there is no kinship or continuity between these Although possibilities of being similarities attributes deities, their conceptual distinctions highlight significant incongruities them. in Tshivenḓa traditional religion (TTR) identified the Semitic Ṅwali, which arguably evidence has been a ‘Hellenisation’ TTR Vhavenḓa’s concept God.
